Quiet weather and calm seas kick off the weekend with waves generally 2 feet or less in most areas, aside from the far outer coastal waters south of Nova Scotia. Memorial Day features some clouds and localized fog banks as a bit of humidity returns, along with a gusty breeze out of the south-southeast. By Monday night into Tuesday, the wind ahead of an approaching cold front will build waves, especially offshore. Areas of rain will swing through as well resulting in some tough conditions on the ocean.
