Tonight’s Forecast

We’re staying muggy and humid tonight with temperatures dropping back into the 60s. Expect mostly clear skies, except for some low clouds and fog that will develop along the South Coast, Cape Cod, and sneak into southeastern Massachusetts. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 60s to low 70s for most areas. It’ll be a bit cooler in a few spots in western Vermont and upstate New York, where temperatures will dip into the mid to upper 50s.

Tomorrow’s Forecast

Hot and Humid Monday:

  • Temperatures: 90+ in much of central and southern New England.
  • Sunshine: Lots of it, so take it easy and stay cool.
  • Humidity: Dew points around 70, making it feel oppressively humid. Heat index values will climb into the mid to upper 90s in the hottest spots.
  • Advice: Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing, stay hydrated, seek shade if you’re outside, or use air conditioning if possible.

Regional Temperatures:

  • Far Northern New England: 80s
  • South Coast and Cape Cod: Around 80 degrees
  • Coastline of Maine: Right around 80 degrees

A sea breeze is expected to kick in along the immediate coastline, which might cause temperatures in Boston to hit 90 before cooling back a couple of degrees due to the light onshore wind.

Chance of Precipitation

The chance of precipitation is low, less than 10% for most of us. There’s a small bulls-eye in Maine where a pop-up thunderstorm is possible, but nothing widespread is expected. A couple of storms could develop away from the coastline in central Maine during the day on Monday.
