Numerous thunderstorms have developed in today’s heat and humidity and will continue to bring downpours, lightning and the threat for damaging wind gusts for some this evening. Tonight is muggy and warm before some relief arrives tomorrow. The humidity will still be high, but our temperatures won’t be nearly as hot as a backdoor cold front slides through the region ushering in noticeably cooler air in eastern New England especially through the day.
