We’re looking at an unsettled weekend with showers and thunderstorms. The atmosphere is very humid with a lot of moisture present. We will remain hot and sticky until about Tuesday, when we’ll finally see a drop in humidity. Cooler temperatures will follow for much of next week, generally running in the 70s through the middle of the week. However, with a front nearby, some wet weather may linger, particularly in Southern New England.

- High Temperatures: Middle to upper 80s in Northern New England; 80-85 in Southern and Central New England.
- Heat Index: It will feel like 90-95 degrees in most spots due to the humidity.
- Rainfall: Some cities and towns may experience heavy downpours, leading to localized flooding.
Tonight’s Forecast
- Temperatures: 70-75 in Southern New England; 60s in the Northeast Kingdom and far Northern Maine.
- Conditions: Lingering showers, lots of clouds, and patchy fog making for an uncomfortable night of sleep.
Sunday’s Forecast
- High Temperatures: 80-85 for most areas; not as hot as today but equally humid.
- Rainfall: More showers and thunderstorms compared to today, particularly in Central and Southern New England.
- Overnight: Another uncomfortable night with temperatures 70-75 in Southern New England and 60s to the north. Lingering showers or isolated downpours possible.
Monday’s Forecast
- High Temperatures: Around 90 degrees in Central and Southern New England; slightly cooler in Northern New England.
- Conditions: Hot and humid with the sun making a return. Building clouds in the North Country ahead of the next disturbance, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms in Northern New England by the afternoon and evening.
