As more of you flock to destinations outside of the U.S., we’ve heard the same question: does the Noyes’ 1DegreeOutside Weather app work internationally?
The answer is YES, it works GREAT! BUT…you may need to use a workaround.
Because of the way smartphone app stores are structured, our app and many others may not work in some countries – or will work in parts of a country but not in other spots. While you definitely want to ALWAYS have location turned on in the United States (for forecast accuracy, life-saving alerts, etc.) if you travel abroad and find the app isn’t working, Matt Noyes steps you through how to turn location off for the duration of your international travel to ensure the app works.
JUST DON’T FORGET TO TURN LOCATION BACK ON IN THE UNITED STATES!!! Otherwise you’ll miss out on most of the great features of the app. Happy traveling, have fun and don’t forget to send us some pictures of your travels using the “Send To Us” tab on the bottom of our app! 🙂
