Matt and Danielle figured with the return to work and school, most of us could probably use an Insights video Monday evening that will hold through Tuesday – so here it is! Matt starts with the 14-day before diving into the details, plus includes the 14-day dew point forecast, so there’s something for everyone. Good luck to One and All getting back into the groove and THANK YOU for making 1DEGREEOUTSIDE part of your DAILY ROUTINE!!
Tuesday Through Thursday: Crisp, Cool, and Clear
The first part of the week will feature clear skies, cool nights, and comfortable days—perfect for those who enjoy a taste of fall. Overnight lows will dip into the 40s, with some spots even seeing upper 30s in Northern New England. During the day, expect plenty of sunshine, with highs in the 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday, climbing closer to 80 degrees by Thursday. With low humidity and light winds, this stretch of weather is ideal for any outdoor activities.
Friday: Increasing Clouds and Humidity
As we head into Friday, the weather pattern begins to shift. High pressure, which has been dominating our region, will start to give way to an incoming disturbance. This will bring increasing clouds, particularly in the afternoon, along with a rising chance of showers and a gradual uptick in humidity. While the day will still be pleasant, the signs of change will be noticeable.
The Weekend: Showers and Storms Return
The upcoming weekend will see more unsettled weather as a stronger disturbance approaches from the West. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop, especially late Friday into Saturday. The jet stream will also start to shift, allowing for a southerly flow that will bring warmer and more humid air into the region. While this doesn’t guarantee a washout at this early juncture, it’s certainly a good idea to keep an eye on the forecast, particularly if you have outdoor plans.
Tropics: Monitoring Developing Systems
In the tropics, there are a few areas of interest that Matt and Danielle are keeping an eye on. While nothing is imminent, and everything is expected to stay south for the foreseeable future, the possibility of tropical development in the coming days bears watching, especially in a pattern that, from time to time, features the jet stream opening the door to moisture from the South. We’ll keep you posted.
