Monday Evening Essentials: Big Changes Coming – Snow for Some,
Chilly Wind for All

As colder air moves in tonight, temperatures will drop from the 50s into the 30s across northern New England, with scattered rain showers turning to snow above 1,000 feet in areas like the Green Mountains and northern New Hampshire. Accumulations will be light, generally a coating to an inch or two, with higher elevations potentially seeing 3-4 inches by late morning Tuesday. Expect some slippery roads and hazardous travel tomorrow morning in these spots. Gusty north west winds,  30-40 mph will accompany the colder temperatures, resulting in isolated wind damage. The wind will also create feels-like temperatures only in the 30s to low 40s from north to south. Actual highs will only reach the lower 50s in southern New England, 40s central and around 40 north. This colder trend will continue the remainder of this week making warmer coats a must for morning bus stops.
