On Friday’s we’ve noticed you love to check in during the day…but not in the evening. We don’t blame you! So, we’ve given Matt and Danielle their lives back on Friday evening and combined Insights and Evening Essentials together on a Friday. You get everything you need, from Friday Night Lights to a Patriots Forecast to your weekend details, right here in one video. We’ll be back with our usual Weekend Edition first thing Saturday!
If you’re heading out for Friday night activities, the weather looks fine. You’ll feel some humidity, and there could be a stray sprinkle here or there, but it’s nothing that should disrupt your plans. Expect temperatures in the 60s this evening, then around 60 tonight, with variable cloud cover and some patchy fog by morning. A Northeast wind will keep things a bit breezy along the coast.
Saturday will be a day of transition as the cold front makes its way from West to East. The bulk of the showers will arrive in the second half of the day for Vermont, Western Massachusetts, and Western Connecticut. By the time we reach the late day and evening, showers will begin spreading into more of New England, with rain likely between 8 PM and midnight. However, it won’t be an all-day rain event, so much of the day remains dry, especially in eastern areas except far eastern Maine.
Temperatures will stay in the 70s, but with the dew points elevated, you’ll definitely feel that humidity before the front moves through Saturday night.
Sunday brings a big change with beautiful, crisp fall air! Behind the departing cold front, temperatures will drop significantly. Highs will range from the 60s in Northern and Western New England to the low 70s in Southern areas. Even Worcester may struggle to hit 70 degrees! It’s shaping up to be a fantastic fall day with sunshine, lower humidity, and a fresh breeze.
Sunday night will be a cool one with widespread lows in the 40s. The pleasant weather continues into Monday with temperatures in the 70s, although some afternoon showers could pop up in Northern New England. By Tuesday, we’re looking at more great weather – another stretch of lovely fall conditions to enjoy.
As we move toward the end of next week, summer likely makes a comeback, as you first heard back on Monday from us in “Pattern Predictions.” We expect temperatures to rise back into the 80s, and humidity will gradually increase again. This could also bring a building chance of showers in the second half of the 14-day forecast, we’ll keep you posted.
