Although a shower or two will crop up here and there both Friday late day/evening and again Saturday, the vast majority of New Englanders – and the vast majority of our weekend time – will be dry. Just as humidity climbs a bit today into this evening, a new installment of comfortable air arrives. Full details in the Insights video with Matt Noyes, and an overview below.
What to Expect This Weekend:
High pressure remains in control for much of the region, keeping most of us dry. However, there is a chance of a brief pop-up shower on Saturday in the mountains and interior regions. Sunday’s wind will come off the ocean, cooling the coastline and keeping the air stable for a gorgeous day, while fair weather clouds build inland with a slight chance of a sprinkle in Western New England mountains, but it’s looking perfect for the Patriots game at Gillette with sunny skies and a high around 80°F.
Looking Ahead to Next Week:
As we move into next week, the summer-like warmth continues! Expect temperatures in the 80s on Monday and Tuesday, with only a slight increase in humidity as we get deeper into the week. By mid to late next week, a storm forming this weekend off the Carolina coast will slowly drift north and could bring us some rain, but the chance is below 50% at the moment. Keep an eye on our updates!
