Just like our proprietary 1°Outside Prediction System was showing up to five inches of rain in parts of Northern New England earlier this week, which unfortunately verified with areas of significant flooding, our Prediction System is again showing localized higher amounts of rain Saturday, this time in Southern New England. Not five inches, but over three inches of rain may fall in a few spots, which explains the flood watch that’s up from the government. An Atlantic disturbance is making its way along the coast, interacting with a surface front along the I-95 corridor. This setup is expected to bring significant rainfall to parts of Southern New England. The combination of an upper-level storm and abundant Atlantic moisture has led to a Flood Watch from the National Weather Service. Here’s what to expect:

As we move into Monday and Tuesday, the humidity returns along with a mix of sun and clouds.
Many of you have asked about dew point relief, and we have good news. By the end of next week, we expect dew points to drop into the 50s, providing a much-needed break from the humidity. This relief won’t last forever, as high dew points return the following week, but we’ll take what we can get!
