Friday’s Noyes’ Notes/1°Outside Today: Gorgeous Day Regionwide

A glorious day of weather is on tap for the region today with low humidity, bright sunshine and mild temperatures. Danielle says it’s perfect weather for outdoor plans! We do turn more humid over the weekend, and there will be several rounds of showers and thunder likely – so stay tuned for our 1°Outside Insights update for the very latest on the timing of storms and how things are looking heading into the start of July.

Today’s Weather: Gorgeous and Mild

  • Sunshine and Low Humidity: Enjoy plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and mild temperatures.
  • Temperatures: Expect highs between 70-75°F for most areas, near 80°F in Hartford, and low 70s on the Cape.
  • Sea Breeze: A northwest breeze will be light enough to allow for a sea breeze to develop along the coast, making it perfect for beach plans.
  • Dry Conditions: No threat of wet weather today, making it great for outdoor activities and yard work.

Tonight’s Weather: Comfortable and Cool

  • Temperatures: Overnight lows will be in the 50s for most areas and 40s in far northern New England.
  • Windows Open: Comfortable enough to leave the AC off and windows open for natural air conditioning.
  • Winds: Shifting to the south at 2-10 mph with a slight increase in humidity (dewpoints climbing through the 50s).

Weekend Outlook: Increasing Humidity and Storms

  • Humidity Rising: Humidity will gradually increase tomorrow, becoming more oppressive and hotter by Sunday.
  • Showers and Storms: Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected over the weekend due to a slow-moving system. It won’t be a washout either day, but keep an eye on the forecast.
