Weekend Storm Details
- Friday into Saturday Morning: Mild air with more moisture starts to filter in, with a few freezing rain showers not out of the question in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut early Saturday morning.

- Thereafter, rain dominates for Southern New England, with a few breaks around midday Sunday before heavier rain returns Sunday night.
Looking Ahead to Next Week
Mild air will hold through early next week, but colder weather is poised to return for the new year.
- Tuesday into Wednesday: Rain likely transitions to accumulating snow across the mountains of Northern New England.
- New Year’s Pattern Shift: A return to wintry air and a more active storm track brings opportunities for snow and colder conditions.
