A few showers and downpours will be around this evening and overnight, with a lot of cloud cover as temperatures cruise back into the 60s. These showers won’t be widespread, but there’s a chance for some, especially in northern New England. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60s. It will be muggy but not oppressively humid yet, though the wind out of the south will continue to increase the dew points during the day tomorrow.
Isolated showers are expected this evening into the first part of the overnight. It’s not widespread, but you might experience a quick downpour passing through. Tomorrow morning, an isolated shower is possible in eastern areas. As the day progresses, breaks in the clouds will develop, which will fuel some instability.
From lunchtime into the evening, particularly in the northern half of New England, a few showers and thunderstorms will pop. While we’re not expecting a widespread severe weather, any thunderstorms that do develop may bring lightning, brief heavy rainfall, and gusty winds across Northern and Central New England.
Temperatures will be in the mid-80s in many areas, reaching the upper 80s in northwestern New England. Winds will be out of the south at 10 to 20 mph, a little lighter in far Northern New England, with a few gusts over that along the South Coast, where highs will be around 80 degrees.
