The storm center that brushed along New England’s coastline overnight into this morning did its job: it delivered humidity back to the region. Some briefly gusty wind on the Cape and Islands from the north, an expansion of showers…but as the storm circulation weakens heading into the Maine coast, a southerly wind takes over and ensures the humid air carried by the ocean storm will stay for days on end.
