Tonight’s Forecast

Cloudy and Humid: This evening, expect cloudy skies with temperatures in the 70s. The biggest change you’ll notice is the increasing humidity. Dew points are climbing, bringing a surge of moisture into the air.

Showers and Storms: Showers and storms will become more numerous tonight. The best chance for a shower this evening is from southern New Hampshire into northeastern Massachusetts. Overnight, expect pockets of showers filling in southern New England, with steady rain moving through Vermont, New Hampshire, and into Maine by predawn tomorrow.

Temperatures: Overnight lows will be in the 60s to around 70.

Tomorrow’s Outlook

Morning Showers: Tomorrow morning, showers will push off the South Shore and Cape by late morning, with clouds thinning out and some breaks of sun appearing. Lingering showers will continue in Northern and Eastern Maine.

Afternoon and Evening: By late afternoon and evening, there’s a chance for an additional passing shower or isolated thunderstorm, mainly in Western New Hampshire, Southern Vermont, and Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. These storms could bring locally heavy downpours and potential localized flooding.

Temperatures: Tomorrow, highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, with dew points up, making it feel quite sticky. Winds will be generally light, turning onshore as a sea breeze develops.

Outdoor Outlook

Mountains: The wettest period will be in the morning, with a lingering shower in the afternoon. UV index will be low to moderate.

Lakes Region: Expect a wet start, but several hours of dry conditions are likely from late morning through the afternoon. A passing shower or storm is possible later in the day, with very little chop on the water. Water temperatures may be a few degrees warmer than the air temperature.

Beaches: Morning rain will give way to some breaks of sun. The rip current risk is low, with a light onshore wind and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.
