We’re almost out of this soggy stretch! Let’s talk about what’s ahead:
Most of the rain will have already fallen by Friday night. Expect lingering showers on Saturday, mainly across central and northern New England, with a few wraparound downpours possible as the storm pulls away. But — and this is key — we’ll see a drying trend through Saturday afternoon, especially in southern areas.
Some sunshine could even break through late in the day, particularly west of I-495. Temps will hover in the 50s to low 60s, and it’ll be breezy. Not the prettiest, but not a washout either.
High pressure builds in Saturday night and takes full control Sunday. Expect:
Bright sunshine for central and southern New England
A few extra clouds in northern areas, maybe a stray sprinkle near the Canadian border
Highs in the 60s, near 70 in the lower CT River Valley
All in all, a truly pleasant day — and a great one to celebrate Mom!
The ridge builds in and we warm up fast. We’re talking:
70s Monday
80s Tuesday in parts of southern New England
Some clouds and a chance of showers by midweek, especially on Wednesday
Temps will stay seasonable through mid to late week, with a touch of cooler air possible along the coast next Friday.
Remainder of today into tonight:
Widespread 1–2″ for most of New England
Localized flooding remains a concern, particularly in areas still saturated from recent rain
