Wednesday Noyes’ Notes/1°Outside Today: Cooler, Pleasant Air
Settling In

Good morning, New England! Danielle Noyes from the 1DegreeOutside Weather Network brings today’s Noyes’ Notes.

Here’s what you need to know:

Today’s Setup:

  • Last night’s cold front is pushing out this morning.

  • Any lingering showers mainly confined to Cape Cod should clear by midday.

  • Otherwise, it’s sunshine mixed with some clouds across the region.

  • A brisk north-northwest breeze will kick up through mid-morning before easing during the afternoon.

Temperature Trends:

  • Cooler overall today compared to the past couple of days.

  • Expect a New England-wide average near 60°F.

  • Southeastern Massachusetts may touch close to 70°F.

  • Northern New England will feel the chill, with some spots more than 20 degrees cooler than yesterday — highs only in the 40s in far northern Maine!

Tonight:

  • Clear skies and calming winds.

  • Lows in the lower 40s across southern New England, mid-40s on Cape Cod.

  • Widespread 30s across northern New England with a chance for patchy frost in the far northern valleys.

Looking Ahead:

  • Thursday: Dry and pleasant with lighter winds — a perfect spring day!

  • Friday: The 70s return! 🌡️ But it comes with the chance of some showers.

  • Weekend: Saturday looks wet again (seems like a trend lately), while Sunday looks drier — full weekend details coming later today in our Insights update.
