Tuesday Insights:
Two Disturbances to Monitor

New England’s midweek forecast features gusty winds, upslope snow for the mountains, and below-average temperatures. As we head toward the weekend, relatively milder air will bring rain to southern areas and snow to the North Country.

Midweek Weather Details:

  • Wednesday:
Temperatures will hover in the 20s, but gusts of 25–35 mph will make it feel like single digits and teens in many areas. Northern Vermont and New Hampshire will see upslope snow showers, with accumulations of 1–4 inches in the valleys and up to 8 inches on the summits.
  • Thursday:
A quieter day with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s and lighter winds. A few snow showers may develop in western New England and along the South Coast overnight, but accumulations will be minimal.

Weekend Outlook:

A disturbance brings rain likely to southern New England on Saturday (developing later in the day), while northern areas may start with wet snow before transitioning to rain, depending on the track of the system. Temperatures will rise into the 40s for most of southern New England. Another disturbance passing south of the region Sunday night into Monday brings a chance for snow in southern areas.
