It’s shaping up to be one of the best Marathon Mondays in recent memory across New England. If you’re running, spectating, or just enjoying the Patriots Day holiday, the weather is on your side. Danielle Noyes of the 1DegreeOutside Weather Network has your full update, and the news is good.
Expect a seasonable start to the race with temperatures in the mid 40s for the elite runners, climbing to the 50s and low 60s for the rest of the field. Inland areas will push into the low to mid 60s by midday, while Boston holds in the 50s thanks to a light sea breeze. The wind starts light from the northwest and shifts southeast through the day, generally around 4 to 12 mph—ideal for runners and manageable for spectators.
Humidity remains comfortable, around 35%, though it does tick up slightly later in the day.
A few evening showers may pass through northwest of Boston, but the risk to the race itself is extremely low. If you’re headed out to watch or run, enjoy—it’s the kind of day runners dream of.
A warm front swings through overnight Monday, with scattered showers lingering into early Tuesday morning. But don’t worry—it quickly exits, and sunshine takes over again Tuesday afternoon, sending highs into the 60s and 70s across New England.
The forecast holds strong through Wednesday and Thursday, both of which look dry, mild, and spring-like—perfect for school vacation week fun across the region.
Monday: 40s AM, 50s–60s midday, slight evening shower risk
Tuesday: Morning rain exits, sunshine returns, near 70°
Wednesday & Thursday: Highs in the mid to upper 60s, some coastal sea breezes
Cape Cod: Cooler near the ocean—expect 50s most days with stubborn clouds early
