Severe Thunderstorm Watch Continues Into Sunday Early Evening As Storms Continue Developing

We’ve been posting several short-fused warnings on various storms and storm clusters to our X/Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts today.  As for an overview on what’s ahead, one round of storms swinging over the South Coast and Cape will continue to move east and over the ocean.  Another broken line of storms from Eastern Maine to Western MA still needs to swing east through 7 or 7:30 PM and does have some energy ahead of it.

Storms moving east will be monitored as they encounter warm and humid air.

As of 4:35pm, storms moving east out of Western MA are entering an environment still favorable for storm growth and maintenance. North of the MA Pike to the NH border and east to the coast, some rain has fallen but t’storm energy units (we like to see 500+ for growth) are still 1000-2500 units. These next storms should arrive to Eastern MA & adjacent Southern NH between 5:30 and 7pm, so do keep an eye to the western sky. “When thunder roars, go indoors!”

We’ll continue to advise via social media and encourage One and All to use our Noyes’ 1DegreeOutside Weather App – put the radar in “Past + Future” mode to monitor what is happening now and where the storms may go next.
