Significant Flash Flooding Causes Road Washouts, Major Flooding in Part of Northern New England

Multiple flash flood warnings continue this early morning in Northern VT, one in Northern Grafton County NH, where overnight rain accumulated up to half a foot as mountainous terrain continued to focus rain. Worst hit has been the Northeast Kingdom of VT, where the Passumpsic River is expected to crest at major flooding. Route 114 has been washed out in East Burke. Other road washouts have likely occurred.
