Sunday Evening Essentials: A Few Inches of Snow Tonight North Ahead of A Spring-Fling

After a chilly start to March, a big warm-up is on the way for New England! Before we get there, a quick round of snow showers will move through northern New England tonight, bringing a coating to 4 inches in some spots. Monday kicks off the warm-up, with 50s returning, and by Tuesday, we could see highs near 60°F in some areas!

Tonight: Quick Snow Showers in Northern New England

If you’re in Vermont, northern New Hampshire, or Maine, expect snow showers to develop late tonight, lasting through the pre-dawn hours of Monday. This system won’t make it south of central Vermont or New Hampshire, so much of southern New England stays dry.

  • Coating to 1 inch: Southern Vermont, Lakes Region of NH
  • 1 to 2 inches: Northern Vermont & NH, western Maine
  • 2 to 4 inches: Higher elevations in northern Vermont, NH, & Maine

By Monday morning, any lingering snow will clear out, making way for much milder temperatures!

Midweek Cooldown & Late-Week Showers

Wednesday brings a quick cooldown, as a cold front moves through, dropping highs back into the 40s for many. A few sprinkles or snow showers could accompany this front.

Late-week, another weak system may bring scattered rain or snow showers, but overall, no major storms are in sight!
