Tuesday Insights:
Turning Just Cold Enough for a Touch of Snow

Spring’s rollercoaster ride continues! From midweek rain & snow showers to a weekend warm-up and howling winds, there’s plenty to track in the days ahead. Plus, we’re watching cloud cover for Thursday night’s total lunar eclipse—will skies clear just in time?

A weak system arrives Wednesday night into early Thursday, bringing rain and snow showers across New England.

🌡️ What to Expect:

  • Snowflakes mix in north of the Mass Pike Wednesday night ❄️
  • Minimal accumulation (coating to an inch, mostly on grass)
  • Quick-moving system, gone by mid-morning Thursday
  • Roads likely stay wet in southern & central New England, but some icy spots possible north

📌 This is NOT a major storm—just a quick hit of wet snow and rain.

Thursday Night Lunar Eclipse—Will Clouds Block the View?

A total lunar eclipse is set for early Friday morning (around 3 AM), but clouds could be an issue.

☁️ Cloud Forecast:

  • Mid/high clouds expected across southern New England
  • Best clearing chances in northern New England
  • There’s a small window of possible breaks in the clouds overnight

📌 Not a guaranteed clear view, but fingers crossed for a break in the clouds!

Weekend Outlook: Warm-Up, Then Powerful Winds

Spring surges back in as a major storm system passes to our west.

🌡️ Friday-Saturday:

  • Highs climb into the 50s & even near 60°F
  • Southwest winds increase ahead of the storm

💨 Sunday: Warm, But VERY Windy!

  • Highs surge into the 60s!
  • Strong south winds gusting over 50 mph—isolated gusts 60+ mph possible
  • Some scattered rain showers arrive late in the day

Is Winter Finally Over?

While winter’s grip has loosened, there’s still enough cold air locked up in Canada that a late-season snow chance isn’t impossible.

That said, all signs point to a mild pattern dominating through late March.
