- Potential for slick spots in the Worcester Hills, 495 belt, southern New Hampshire, and northern interior regions.
- Trace to a few hundredths of ice accumulation is enough to make untreated roads and sidewalks slippery.

Wednesday: Warm Rain, Strong Winds, and Flooding Potential
- Rainfall:
- 1–3 inches widespread; localized areas in Western New England could see 3–4 inches.
- Melting snowpack in northern areas will contribute to runoff and minor flooding concerns.
- Wind Gusts:
- Many gusts 40-50 mph in southern New England & along the coast of Maine out of the south
- Peak gusts 50–60 mph Wednesday evening from Worcester to Boston, Providence, and the Cape.
- Isolated gusts may reach 60–70 mph on Cape Cod
- Secure holiday decorations and loose objects outdoors!
- Scattered outages & damage result
Wednesday night into Thursday: Snow Returns to the Mountains
- As colder air moves in behind the storm, expect lake-effect snow and upslope snow showers for northwestern areas:
- 2–4 inches for the Green Mountains and high terrain in northern New Hampshire with higher totals at the summits possible particularly across northern VT.
Looking Ahead:
- Thursday and Friday bring cooler temperatures with highs in the 30s across southern New England and 20s in the north.
