Aside from an isolated shower, tonight will be generally quiet with variable cloud cover across the region. After dropping into the 50s and 60s, tomorrow sees temperatures climb into the 80s again with increasing humidity late in the day and the chance of thunder in southern and western New England. Tonight’s Weather
- Isolated Showers: There’s a possibility of isolated showers this evening, with the greatest risk across Northeastern Massachusetts. Remember, isolated is the key word.
- Cloud Cover: Expect variable clouds, mostly clear in Northern New England. The farther south you go, the more clouds you’ll encounter. Clouds will increase during the late morning and afternoon hours tomorrow.
- Overnight Lows: Temperatures will be in the 60s overnight. The humidity will stay steady, with dew points around or just over 60 degrees. It’s not tropical, but not completely comfortable either.
Monday’s Forecast
- Morning: Generally dry, with sunshine in the morning fading behind increasing clouds.
- Midday: The lunch hour looks good for outdoor activities.
- Afternoon: By early afternoon, a few thunderstorms and showers may pop up in Southern New England, generally south of the Pike. These will lift northward over the afternoon and evening.
- Evening: Expect heavier downpours and areas of rain late tomorrow evening and overnight.
Temperature and Winds
- Coast of Maine: 70s with a light breeze from the southeast.
- Boston to South Shore: 80 to 85 degrees.
- Cape Cod: Around 80 degrees.
- Central and Southern New England: Mid to upper 80s.
Outdoor Outlook
- Mountains: Temperatures in the 70s, around 70 at the summit. Light wind from the southwest, generally less than 10 mph.
- Lakes Region: Air and water temperatures will be pretty much equal tomorrow, right around 80 degrees.
- Beaches: Chance of a thunderstorm as early as 1-2 PM, lingering into the evening hours. Rip current risk is low. Light southwest breeze shifting onshore from the southeast during the afternoon.
