A storm system is moving through New England tonight, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and potential minor flooding through Monday. Wind gusts of 40-50 mph are possible tonight, especially in southeastern New England, and rain totals will exceed an inch in some areas by the time showers taper off late Monday.

What to Expect:

• Strong Winds Tonight: Gusts 40-50 mph, especially south & east.
• Slow Monday Commute: Heavy rain in the morning, tapering to showers by late afternoon.
• Minor Flooding Possible: Rivers like the Saco, Swift, and Pemigewasset could reach flood stage.
• Mild Temperatures: Highs in the 50s Monday before drying out midweek.

Sunday Night:

• Heavy downpours arrive from west to east.
• Winds gusting 40-50 mph, with strongest winds along the coast.
• Isolated power outages possible.

Monday Morning:

• A wet and slow commute with steady rain continuing.
• Heaviest rain shifts toward eastern New England & the Cape.
• Winds still gusting 30-40 mph early but gradually easing.

Monday Afternoon & Evening:

• Showers persist, especially in eastern New England.
• Rain finally tapers off by evening, but some rivers may flood.

Looking Ahead:
