As we head into another quiet evening, the weather remains favorable across New England. With mainly clear skies tonight, you’ll have a great chance to catch the International Space Station (ISS) as it passes overhead at 8:51 PM for about four minutes. Temperatures will slide from the 60s down to the 50s, with patchy fog developing overnight in the usual spots.
For Friday, expect the sun to take center stage once again after any fog burns off by mid-morning. Puffy cumulus clouds will develop in the afternoon, and while most of us will stay dry, there is a slight chance of an isolated shower or rumble of thunder in the mountains of northern New England, the lakes region, and possibly in areas like Southern Maine, Southeastern New Hampshire, and the Merrimack Valley. Despite the small chance of showers, there’s no need to cancel outdoor plans! Temperatures will range from 80-85°F, with a bit of humidity creeping in, though it won’t be too uncomfortable.
If you’re headed to the coast, you’ll enjoy sunshine, temperatures in the 70s, and a low rip current risk, making it perfect for beach plans! Expect calm seas with waves around two feet or less and a light southeast breeze.
