While New England will largely escape the brunt of the storm, Vermont, already reeling from earlier flash floods this year, faces the highest risk of flash flooding and potential severe weather Friday evening into night. Expect a truly oppressive tropical air mass by tomorrow afternoon and evening, with dew points rising into the 70s. We’ve enjoyed a brief break from the humidity, but that changes tomorrow. Pockets of showers and rain will lift across central and northern New England tonight, with an isolated shower possible elsewhere.
