A backdoor front will slide through and wash out over eastern New England today ushering in a wind shift and dropping temperatures at the coast. Scattered showers and thunderstorms develop during the afternoon and evening, a few of which could be on the stronger side. Some smoky skies remain in place too. Danielle has all the details.
