In this 1°Outside Insights video, Danielle takes you through the forecast for the next several days and right into Monday, which is the 1st of July. Can you believe how fast June flew by? Here’s what you need to know for the upcoming days:
Friday: A Beautiful End to the Week
- Temperatures: Expect highs in the 70s for most areas (60s far Northern New England).
- Conditions: Lots of sunshine and low humidity will make for a great day to end the week. A few clouds will mix in later in the day, but overall, it will be a fantastic day.
Saturday: Humidity on the Rise
- Temperatures: Highs will be similar to Friday (in the 70s) but the humidity will be on the increase. You’ll certainly feel the difference.
- Wind: Winds will come from the south at 5 to 15 mph.
- Saturday: The start of the day will be dry. By 5 PM, areas of rain, downpours, and potential thunderstorms will begin to move into western New England and slowly slide east during the evening.
Sunday: Warmer and Humid
- Temperatures: Expect highs in the 80s across southern New England, with northern New England in the 70s.
- Wind: Winds will be out of the west-southwest at 10 to 20 mph.
- Wet Weather: Expect areas of rain and thunderstorms periodically throughout the day. There will be dry periods, but a round of rain and thunderstorms is likely in the morning followed by additional action that will develop in the afternoon and evening.
Monday: Cooler and Breezy
- Temperatures: A noticeable cool-down with highs in the 70s for most areas and 60s in northern New England.
- Wind: Winds will shift to the north and northeast at 5 to 10 mph, with gusts up to 20-25 mph on Cape Cod in the afternoon.
Key Points
- Saturday: My pick of the weekend, with most of the day remaining dry. Evening and overnight showers and thunderstorms will sweep through from west to east.
- Sunday: More active weather with downpours and thunderstorms, increasing the risk of localized flooding due to the slow-moving storms and multiple rounds of rain.
