Tuesday’s Noyes’ Notes/1°Outside Today: Beautiful Summer Weather

A spectacular July day is on tap for New England! Danielle shares that we’ll enjoy lots of sunshine today, low humidity, warm temperatures and a light wind. But how long will it last? Stay tuned for our updated 1°Outside Insights video later today! Meanwhile, here are your forecast details below…

Today’s Forecast:

It doesn’t get much better than this for a July day! Expect sunshine, dry air, low humidity, and a light wind. No precipitation to worry about, so it’s a perfect day to enjoy outdoor activities. Highs across the region will range from 80 to 85 degrees, from northern Vermont stretching down to the South Coast.

Even the beaches of southern New England will be pleasant, with the South Shor in the 70s, and 75 to near 80 degrees from Provincetown back around to the Vineyard.

A few puffy, fair weather cumulus clouds will mix with the sunshine, especially across central and northern New Hampshire and northern Vermont. Overall, it’s a fantastic day with mid to upper 70s from Jay Peak to the Northeast Kingdom, lower 80s in the Champlain Valley, and 80 to 85 degrees in many areas including southern Maine. Even up to the Crown of Maine, we’re talking highs in the lower to middle 80s. Western tip of Nova Scotia will see cooler conditions, running in the 60s for highs.

Tonight’s Forecast:

Overnight tonight, expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with temperatures cooling off into the 50s to lower 60s. After a warm day, you can open up the windows and let the fresh air in. Winds will be out of the south, generally light, around 5 miles per hour.

Looking Ahead:

We’ll have another great day to enjoy tomorrow as well. Then, the humidity starts to increase again, particularly by the 4th of July. This will bring a few pop-up thunderstorms, but nothing widespread is expected at this time. We’ll keep you posted with updates, especially with big Independence Day plans coming up. Enjoy the fantastic weather today!
