Wednesday Evening Essentials: Humidity Dropping, Much Cooler Tomorrow

As the day winds down, expect a noticeable drop in humidity to take place through the evening and overnight. Any isolated showers/storms along the south coast will dissipate over the next few hours. Overnight lows drop into the 50s and 60s from north to south, with the coolest parts of northern New England falling into the 40s.

Tomorrow promises a beautiful day. Temperatures will be much cooler than today, with highs in the 60s and 70s. The fresh new airmass will make it perfect for outdoor activities.

  • Hiking: The mountains will be a great place for a hike, with pleasant temperatures highs in the 70s in the valleys, around 60 on the summits and a light and variable wind.
  • Beach: Be cautious when swimming or wading in the ocean, as stronger rip currents are expected (moderate to high risk).
  • Lake: Air and water temperatures will be very similar, around 70. Expect light chop on the water.

The school bell forecast tomorrow features dry but cool conditions in the morning with no weather related issues for the way home from school either. Kids may want to have a long sleeve, light jacket or sweatshirt in the AM for the cooler temperatures.
