Wednesday Insights: Weekend & Holiday Forecast Details Plus Science Day!

A steady warm-up will have much of New England feeling like early summer by the weekend – with some possibly even touching 80°F.

Meteorologist Danielle Noyes breaks it down in today’s Insights, highlighting the building ridge in the jet stream that will allow warmth from the Central U.S. to move east. Thursday brings 50s and sunshine with lighter wind, followed by 60s on Friday – and well into the 70s on Saturday for much of central and southern New England.

Some important forecast highlights:

  • Thursday: Dry with bright skies

  • Friday: Increasing clouds, chance for late-day showers/downpour (mainly northern areas)

  • Saturday: Widely scattered showers with a passing cold front, maybe a thunderstorm – but many hours will be dry for many

  • Sunday: Not as warm, but mainly dry with sun/cloud mix

  • Marathon Monday: Mostly cloudy, possibly a passing shower later, but great running weather – temps 55–60°, low humidity, light wind

🎒 School Spotlight – Science Day! Danielle made a special stop at Pine Grove Elementary School in Rowley, MA, where students took part in an amazing Science Day celebration. Students chose their own STEM sessions, and the energy from teachers and staff was electric – science shirts and all! Special thanks to Nerissa for organizing and the entire team for having 1DegreeOutside be part of it.
