Today features nearly double the normal amount of moisture in the atmosphere over Northern New England, which is representative of the humidity in place for the entirety of the six-state region. “When it rains, it pours,” applies today, which raises the chance of localized flash flooding in downpours, particularly during the afternoon to evening in Northern New England. There’s also the chance of a few damaging storms – both isolated damaging wind and a low chance of rotation inside of storms that will have us watching the radar closely for any tornado potential.
