The last of the showers and downpours eject east and once they end in any given location, rapid improvement ensues. In fact, most of us are enjoying sunshine by midday Saturday with less humid air arriving through the day and giving way to a comfortable night Saturday night…comfortable day Sunday (even with a few showers in the North Country) and a cool night Sunday night. In fact, Matt Noyes says comfortable air sticks around through the start of the new week, even if a few showers crop up Monday. Full details in the video.
As we kick off the day, you may still be dealing with some leftover showers and downpours. But don’t worry, the sun is on its way! You can track any lingering rain with our app by checking the live radar tab. As the morning progresses, the clouds will clear, and we’ll see the sun breaking through. The best part? The humidity will start to drop, making it feel better and better as we move through the day. Highs will climb into the 80s, but with the humidity gradually decreasing, it’ll become much more comfortable.
By tonight, we’re looking at a remarkably pleasant evening—perfect for a fire pit or chiminea if you’re in the mood. Northern New England will enjoy especially comfortable conditions, though there will be a bit of a breeze early on. This breeze should calm down as the night goes on, setting the stage for a great evening outdoors.
Sunday continues the trend of comfortable weather, with highs around 80 degrees across much of New England. You’ll notice an abundance of fair-weather clouds bubbling up in the sky. While most of us will stay dry, a few showers may pop up in Northern Vermont, Coös County in New Hampshire, and Northern Maine. These will be brief and isolated, so don’t let them deter you from enjoying what promises to be a lovely day overall.
Sunday night will be another cool and comfortable one, ideal for a restful sleep with lows dropping nicely.
As we start the new week, Monday will bring more of the same comfortable air. However, some upper-level atmospheric energy will linger, especially in central and northern New England, leading to the possibility of scattered showers. With breaks of sun in between, temperatures should still manage to reach near 80 degrees.
Overall, the comfortable weather is set to last through much of the upcoming week, making it a great time to get outside and enjoy the end of summer.
