Weekend Edition!
August 24-25, 2024

What a gorgeous start to the weekend with warm temperatures, dry conditions and plenty of sunshine. Highs will reach the upper 70s to lower 80s, with mid to upper 70s on the Cape, South Coast, and along the Maine coastline. Sea breezes will kick in, making for a pleasant day all around.

Sunday: Slightly Warmer and More Humid

On Sunday, you’ll notice a slight increase in humidity as dew points climb into the lower to middle 60s. While it won’t be oppressive, you’ll feel a bit more moisture in the air. The warmth combined with some upper-level energy may trigger a few isolated storms in the afternoon and evening, particularly between 2 PM and 8 PM. Don’t cancel your outdoor plans—just be prepared to duck inside if a brief downpour or lightning rolls through.

Overnight Lows and Monday Preview

Expect overnight lows in the upper 50s to low 60s, with a mild and comfortable night ahead. Sunday night will be a touch more humid with lows in the lower to middle 60s.

Looking ahead to Monday, it’ll be a few degrees “cooler” with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Humidity will be higher though, and the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms increases. Some storms on Monday afternoon could be on the stronger side, so keep an eye to the sky and an umbrella handy.
