Can you believe it’s the last full weekend of summer? Next weekend, fall officially begins with the autumnal equinox on Sunday morning. So, make the most of these warm days and cool, comfortable nights. The weather is shaping up nicely for outdoor plans, with only a few scattered showers expected in parts of Northern New England today, from late morning through the afternoon. Areas like northeast Vermont, northern New Hampshire, and western Maine may see a stray downpour, but it’s nothing that should cancel your plans. Southern New England will enjoy mainly dry weather with scattered clouds, though a pop-up shower is possible later in the day from southwest NH into central MA.
On Sunday, a quiet start leads to the chance for a few afternoon showers from southern Vermont into the Berkshires, but the rest of the region will bask in sunshine. Highs both today and tomorrow will range from the upper 70s to low 80s, with cooler conditions along the Cape. Tonight will be perfect for sleeping, as temperatures dip into the 50s. If you’re heading to Gillette for the Patriots game, expect a sunny, warm day, with “feels like” temps in the low to mid-80s—don’t forget the sunscreen!
As we head into next week, Monday continues the warm trend with highs in the 80s, and this comfortable, late summer weather will stick around through midweek.
