1°Outside Weekend Edition! Humidity Returns, Strong Thunder Later Sunday

After some pleasant and dry air, New England is transitioning back into humidity gradually today, but that clash of air has already set off showers for some and will set off more for others. By Saturday night and Sunday, humidity is well-established and that may lead to more severe thunderstorms later Sunday. Matt has all the details in our Weekend Edition video.

Saturday: Increasing Humidity and Showers for Some

  • Morning Showers: Some areas are already experiencing showers this morning, follow them and see where they’re going with the “Radar” tab in our app, choose “Past + Future” for best performance.
  • Dry Periods: Many of us will stay dry through a lot of the day.
  • Increasing Humidity: Humidity will gradually increase throughout the day.
  • Temperatures: Highs will range from 75 to 80°F.
  • Afternoon Showers: By noon, showers will continue in Vermont and western New Hampshire. The Lakes Region and suburbs outside of Portland, Maine, will see showers expand in the mid-afternoon.
