Thursday Insights:
Wide Range In Temperatures Across New England This Weekend

What a difference out there today! Danielle covered the big shift in our weather in this morning’s video – and now we’ll turn our attention to the weekend forecast – which brings a different kind of complexity. In today’s Insights, Danielle outlines what to expect as New England faces a tricky pattern driven by a warm front slicing the region in two.

Friday stays largely dry for most, though clouds will linger and a couple of showers may dot Vermont and western New Hampshire. Highs hover in the 60s to near 70, with an onshore breeze maintaining that comfortable, cool feel.

Saturday, the dividing line sharpens:

  • North of the front, it’s a raw, cool day with rain likely – especially in northern New England, where outdoor plans may need rescheduling.

  • South of the front, humidity and warmth return, pushing temps near 80 in parts of southwestern New England and triggering scattered thunderstorms.

Sunday offers some relief and drier conditions, though isolated showers may linger – especially in Maine, the New Hampshire Seacoast, and northeast Massachusetts due to the lingering northeast wind.

The new week starts quieter Monday, but a daily thunderstorm risk builds next week with warmth returning into the 80s – just in time for the 4th of July holiday.
