Friday 1°Outside Today/Noyes’ Notes:
Cool Again Today, Pockets of Rain Develop North

We’ve made it to Friday, and it’s another day of fresh, below-average temperatures across New England. Danielle Noyes says windows can stay open once again, with a cool, onshore breeze and highs only reaching the 60s to low 70s for most. Northern Maine may top out around mid-70s, with breaks of sun helping to nudge temps up there.

What to expect today:

  • 🌤️ Some sun sneaks through on the South Coast and Cape Cod

  • 🌥️ Mostly cloudy farther north with cooler highs

  • 🌧️ Afternoon: Showers build out of upstate NY and move into VT and NH

  • 🌧️ Evening: Expanding rain across interior areas, especially into Maine

Weekend preview:

  • 🌧️ Saturday morning: Rain and some heavier downpours, especially in northern and central New England

  • ⚡ Saturday afternoon: A pop-up thunderstorm is possible in southern New England

  • ☀️ Sunday looks drier overall, but updates to timing will come in today’s Insights video

Looking ahead? The heat builds again next week — with highs returning to the 80s for the Fourth of July holiday. Keep checking the free 1DegreeOutside app for your local radar and video forecasts, and stay connected on social: 1DegreeOutside!
