Wednesday 1°Outside Today/Noyes Notes:
Turning Warmer, Sea breezes Develop

While the past few mornings have had that familiar fresh feel, this Wednesday starts to usher in change. Highs today will reach into the low to mid-80s for many across New England, with sea breezes offering some cooling relief at the coast.

A slight uptick in humidity will be noticeable, especially in Southern New England and near the South Coast this afternoon and evening. While not oppressive, sensitive folks may feel the difference compared to the crisp air of the last couple of days. A few more clouds will mix in today, and it’s not impossible one of them yields an isolated sprinkle (south) – but most will remain dry.

Thursday brings a bigger jump in heat, but still without storm concerns. However, the real headline this week is Friday: temperatures in the 90s, tropical humidity, and heat index values topping 100°. Some strong thunderstorms are likely, particularly by evening as a cold front approaches.

We’ll keep an eye on that, but for now, enjoy the continued summer sunshine and make sure you’re prepared for the heat to finish the week.
