If you stepped outside today and felt like you were walking into a steam room – you’re not alone. The tropical humidity in place is set to fuel some showers and thunderstorms Thursday, but big changes are coming – and they’re good ones.
A refreshing northwest breeze kicks in on Friday, gradually replacing the tropical air mass with much drier, more comfortable air. The dew points will tumble into the 50s for most by Friday afternoon and evening, setting the stage for a picture-perfect Saturday. Expect highs in the 70s to low 80s, lower humidity, and plenty of sunshine. Windows open weather returns – finally!
Showers and storms Thursday will be scattered, but some could bring localized downpours and gusty winds. Friday looks quiet, and Saturday remains dry. However, Saturday evening into Sunday brings a return of humid air and the chance of showers and thunder. The timing is still being refined, but we may start Sunday with patchy fog and dampness, followed by a pop-up storms later in the day.
By Sunday night, the wind shifts again, ushering in dry air to kick off next week. Monday through Wednesday looks fantastic with highs near 80°, low humidity, and plenty of sun.
