A light glaze in a few neighborhoods early is the leftover from last evening’s spotty snow/mix – watch untreated sidewalks and driveways. Through today, expect variable clouds with a few snow showers/flurries, mainly southern NH into the northern Greens and occasionally near the Mass Pike late day. Impact is minimal; a localized coating is possible where steadiest bursts slide through.
Temperatures:
Morning: Not as biting as recent days—feels like 20s (near 40s at the Cape/Islands); many inland spots hover near/below freezing early.
Afternoon: 30s for most, upper 30s–low 40s in southern New England and the Cape.
Tonight: Teens north, 20s south as colder air begins to ooze back in.
Friday night: The true Arctic blast arrives.
Weekend: Bitter cold entrenches the region.
Sunday: As moisture overruns that Arctic air, snow will blossom. A significant accumulation is likely – we’ll refine track and totals in Insights and if you love the science behind big weather events, you should join one of our pre-storm livestreams!!
