This last weekend of July offers both spectacular and unsettled weather – depending on the day.
Saturday is the clear winner: sunshine, high thin clouds, light wind off the ocean, and dew points in the 50s making for a very comfortable day. Highs reach 80–86 inland, a bit cooler on the Cape and in far northern Maine, with some spots in southwestern New England nearing 90. The only caveat: a stray sprinkle may sneak into western New England this evening – but it’s minor and likely won’t affect plans.
Sunday starts more humid and unsettled, particularly in central and southern New England. Expect pockets of rain and some embedded downpours by morning with an isolated rumble of thunder- especially near the South Coast. Storms are not expected to be severe. Through the afternoon, rain tapers to scattered showers, and some sun may break through, especially across the north.

Dew points rise to near 70 in western New England Sunday, so it will feel sticky, and by Monday, heat builds again. Highs soar to 90–95° for much of the region, with “feels like” temps in the mid to upper 90s. A sea breeze may keep Boston just shy of 90, and there will be some coastal relief elsewhere. This heat continues into Tuesday, with another chance for a pop-up storm.
