Weekend Insights:
Humidity & Scattered Storms Return Sunday

New England is in for a beautiful Saturday, followed by a stormy and sticky Sunday. Here’s your breakdown from Danielle Noyes and the 1DegreeOutside Weather Network.

Saturday: Sun, Dry Air & Comfort

Saturday will be a winner across the board. With dew points remaining low for most of the day and sunshine dominating, temperatures will climb well into the 80s for much of the region. The only caveat? A southerly wind returns later in the day, nudging humidity levels upward by Saturday evening, particularly in southern New England.

Saturday Night: Stickiness Sneaks Back

With dew points rising into the 60s and overnight temps staying in the upper 60s to around 70 south, it may be a night you don’t want the windows open. Northern New England will stay more comfortable with lows around 60°.

Sunday: Humid & Stormy

Sunday features the return of tropical-like humidity and scattered thunderstorms. While the morning may start quiet for many, by midday to early afternoon, storms will begin to fire -especially between 2–8 PM. Some storms may become strong to severe, with damaging wind gusts and localized flash flooding, especially in areas recently waterlogged. Lightning and heavy downpours are possible in any storms.

The good news? Storms sweep west to east and move out by Sunday evening, with refreshing air returning behind a cold front.

Monday–Wednesday: A Summer Sweet Spot

The new week begins beautifully. With dew points crashing into the 40s and even upper 30s in spots, dry air returns in a big way. Monday’s highs will run 75–80 with gusty northwest winds and loads of sunshine. Nights will be crisp and cool – great sleeping weather.

Tuesday and Wednesday remain in the comfortable range, with highs around 80 and perhaps a coastal sea breeze. Humidity and heat rebuild by Thursday–Friday, which may bring another round of thunderstorms.
