This week brings a variety of weather to New England, including some much-needed rain and even snow for the higher elevations by late in the week. For now, Matt Noyes gives us our Sunday Evening Essentials with a look at the start of our week ahead.
Monday:
- A weak cold front crosses New England in the morning, delivering isolated light showers to southern areas and a combination of steadier showers of rain and some snowflakes in northern New England. Precipitation clears by mid-morning, followed by increasing sunshine and breezy conditions. Highs will reach around 60°F in southern New England, with cooler air in the north where puffy, cumulus clouds will continue to build.
Tuesday & Wednesday:
- Quiet weather settles in with dry conditions and highs in the 50s.
Thursday:
- A coastal storm system develops, bringing steady rain to much of New England (0.5-1″ expected). Higher elevations in the Berkshires, Green Mountains, and White Mountains may see accumulating snow, a reminder that winter is on the horizon. We’ll have much more on this storm in our Insights video Monday morning.
Looking Ahead:
As November progresses, New England could shift into a stormier pattern, with more cold air pushing southward. Stay tuned for updates on potential late-month weather developments in our Pattern Predictions video, set to post Monday morning.
